Children and youth services offered by The James House assist children and teens in becoming empowered and safe through individual counseling, support groups, after school programs, and James House activities.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling services at The James House allow children and teens a safe place to disclose and talk about their experiences of sexual abuse and domestic violence with a Client Services Coordinator.

By allowing children and teens a place to build close relationships and talk openly about their experiences, they are able to tackle challenges resulting from these experiences and become personally empowered.

Mobile Activity Bus

The James House Activity Bus provides services for children and teens in the Tri-Cities area, ages 4 to 18, that model leadership and people skills. Activities focus on positive re-enforcement, creative activities, and field trips that develop positive attitudes toward overcoming life obstacles. Participants will:

Map The Way

MAP The Way is an 8-week motivational after school program for children ages 6-12 living in the Tri-Cities area.
8 Core Group Lessons:

REACT

The REACT program is a support/education group facilitated by The James House. REACT offers age specific support curriculum for children and teens ages 4-18 who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence and/or sexual violence.
12 Core Group Lessons:

Children and teens involved in the REACT program gain support in healing from domestic violence and sexual violence experiences, an enhanced sense of safety, and a clearer understanding of healthy relationships and self confidence.
